Pasan Hettiarachchi
I am an Experimental Physicist in engineering physics background with a PhD related to physics of electrical discharges. Currently I work as a postdoctoral researcher at Occupational and Environmental Medicine. I do research primarily in accelerometric algorithm development related to physical activity, sedentary behaviour and sleep. Additionally, I work in research related to lung dynamics, development of software tools to measure physical load at work and in general Ergonomics.
I have more than 10 years of experience as a physicist and have authored more than 35 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. My main expertise and specialties are digital signal processing, accelerometery, instrumentation, high-performance computing and numerical modelling.
